Security First SDVS-1904 Setup (Not D-Link) Needing help with this. We installed the 4 cameras and the DVR. They're working fine. Now I'm trying to get it to come up on the computer so we can see the business remotely over the net. I ran the Cat5 cable and connected it to the D-Link DL624 router. From the DVR, I pulled the IP address and port that the router assigned it per the instructions. I set it to port 08000. Then I set up the router to forward port 8000. I set a static IP for the DVR in the router. It was able to clone the MAC number from the DVR. Looks like I did everything right. But no connection. I have the software installed on the computer. I set it to port 8000 with the same IP number as the DVR and click connect, but it just sits there and never connects. I can open a command window and ping the DVR and it answers me. But no picture. The computer is a late-model HP running Vista home premium. It's connected to the internet thru the router and a Motorola Surfboard cable modem. I have tried 2 versions of the Integrated Remote Station software, set both up according to instructions but nothing. WHAT AM I MISSING? This thing SHOULD work.

I'm not sure if you are still looking for the answer, but I think the problem may be that you need to enter the PUBLIC IP address of the modem at the remote end instead of the PRIVATE (ie. 192.168.1.x) IP that was actually assigned to the DVR. It works best if you assign a static IP to the DVR on the remote end and enter that IP into the router's DMZ. You might also want to get a free account at dyndns.net and setup a FQDN for your business router/modem. That way you can connect to it using something like "mybusiness.homeip.net" instead of an IP address, and if the IP changes it will still find it. You will also have to configure your modem at the business to automatically update the dyndns server when the IP changes.

Can't Transfer image to FTP site

"STOR" is FTP lingo for storing (putting/uploading) the file onto the server. I'm presuming you have entered the appropriate FTP IP address, login and password and the FTP server is setup properly.Presuming the FTP server is set up correctly, connect your computer to the same cable the Sony IP camera is connected to and use an FTP client from your computer to confirm you can successfully upload files. If you do not have an FTP client, you can download a free one at:http://www.coreftp.com

Setup Panasonic WV-NS202A camera and Windows 7 FTP server to download images. Router: Linksys WRT320N I previously had it working with Vista, but can't get it setup on Windows 7, with the same computer and router. I can access the camera and settings but can't get the FTP download to work.

Hi, well this maybe because that Win 7 may not support this device & driver? Win 7 has problems unless the drivers are specifically written for Win 7. or perhaps try installing and running in "Compatibility Mode for XP SP2", this too may help? Another thing to check, is that everything is installed, and run as Administrator, and that UAC is set to OFF. Another thing to check, if 64 bit system, is that the driver is digitally signed for Win 7, and or that Digital Driver Signing is turned OFF too, this is done, at boot up by pressing F8, and selecting it from near the bottom of the menu. If this is the case it must be done every time one boots. Another thing is the Firewall, make sure that you punch a hole out through the FW, and all settings here are correct. Again install and run the main .exe as Administrator and UAC off.

Hi i have a Generic (No Name) Wireless IP camera view on NET Help

Alright, I'm going to start with the easy solutions.1: your camera is not compatible with the programs you are trying to use it with (MSN, Skype, Yahoo, AIM)2: you were ripped off, the camera is a piece of junk waste of money (If this is the case i recommend buying a Logitech webcam, a little more expensive, but user friendly and the best on the market)3: you didn't install the drivers for the camera4: Your Camera has drivers but they aren't up to date: Update them5: you didn't Configure your camera with the program you wish to use it for. do so now via the Tools/Options menu, look for web cam properties or something of the like.6:and my ultimate Solution to any problem that involves a Webcam/mouse/mic/ect that isn't from Logitech, trash it and get one from Logitech. Logitech is the best in the business and are good at what they do. I hope i have helped you with any one of my numerous suggestions please have a good day =P
