If any wires are visable, a replacement keypad can be reconnected - and should work. Chances are though that they are damaged, so the safe will need to be drilled to open it . Seek the assistance of your local locksmith. As a locksmith myself - I prefer mechanical locks!

Sentry 3100 inner door panel removal to lubricate mechanism

I found the owner's manual and after reading it, it said there was a screw I could remove and pop off the panel. I found the screw in an indented area, removed it, but the cover would not just pop off. There is one tab on the left side and one on the right side I had to pry with a screwdriver, and then it did come off... turns out there was no rust inside. I think it is built out of pot metal castings for the most part which won't rust... there are a few steel disks there, and I lightly oiled them....All is good, now... and the safe is back in use.

I have a Sentry Fireproof Safe (KS2100). Need to open it to get important documents. However, the key doesn't seem to unlock. I can insert the key, turn the key, remove the key, but the box does not unlock. Looks like the locking mechanism is stuck. What should I do? Take it to a locksmith?

You are supposed to apply downward pressure on the lid when you try to open it. See if that solves your problem.
