Please help me! We have a 19" Swann All in One DVR System & have had recent theft by employee where we need to recover video from particular dates. During our attempts to back up those certain dates & times, the system began a "clear HDD" process and we canNOT get the process to stop! I need help to stop this "clear" & we Have got to get the video from dates thru first of October! I appreciate and and all help!

For something this "Mission Critical" I wouldn't muck around and i would contact Swann Communication, http://www.swannsecurity.com/ and ask them for their expert advice. If your system responds to normal batch commands, then press and hold the CTRL key, and tap the C key, this should issue a CTRL - Break, command and terminate any batch processes, and hopefully shut down that process, else, try simply resetting the unit, or turn it OFF, and continuing on after the reset, turn On, reboot, and then go to those locations. and look for those dates Your tech support link and manuals are at the link below. http://www.swann.com.au/s/products/view/?product=540

I followed the instructions. i took cisco. i cannot access the camera page through the web browser. im using it through my linkysys router for lan so that i can view the cameras on all my computers when i type in the ip address. please help me

Http://cowboyfrank.net/webcams/HowTo.htm http://www.ehow.com/how_5814774_open-webcam-through-internet-work.html Above is a couple of "How tos" Ok, first one must understand one thing, and that is one cannot access an EXTERNAL IP address from BEHIND, only internal access to the camera can be obtained however, one can "see' the webcam across the "Home network" but to be able to "look in"as it were one must obviously be "outside" looking "in"as it were. So accordingly the only way to test the webcam is to try to access from another EXTERNAL IP address, IE: from someone else's internet connection. Another way, that I use to test, is if one has a broadband connection, then also usually one has also a dialup connection, one can in this instance test the camera, on the "Broadband" IP from the "Dialup" IP. what you also need to do, is Forward a Port so that the camera is available for external access, use this site below to assist you. http://portforward.com/
