Door chime code for GE model 1601S &1602S

I can't find my manual. I just replaced the batteries in the push button and the base. But I can't get it to work. I need the chime code combinations so I can setup the right codes. I have a GE Wireless Battery Operated Chime with one push button. Bought it about 4 years ago. I believe there were less than 5 different codes for it.Model number shows GE1601S & GE1602S

Door chime code for GE model 1601S &1602S

Hi there. I think I have the same GE chime. It has a series of 4 dip switches on the bell (base) and also in the switch unit. Just make them the same. On mine for example, switch # 1,2 & 4 are up (on) and #3 is down (off). Any combination of 16 codes should work as long as both units are the same. Just as an aside, I had a problem with mine working intermittently, then mostly not at all. It was the actual pushbutton switch inside the button unit. Luckily, I replaced the micro-switch and it's working again. Also during cold wet weather, the 12v battery gets depleted faster than normal probably due to moisture inside the switch unit. I taped a piece of plastic from a sandwich bag over the switch unit to help keep water out.I hope this helps.....

GE Simon - Reset Installer Code & Remove Sensors

I am sure you already guessed this but it appears someone has changed the default installer code. Using the default installer, dealer, or master codes defeat the purpose of a security system as most criminals know the default codes. The only way I know of to regain control of this panel is to reset it to factory defaults. This does mean that you will have to completely re-progam the system. I would document as much stuff as you can from the display before resetting it. If you don't have a copy of the installation manual I am providing a link below. Hope this helps. http://www.home-technology-store.com/assets/PDF/GE/Simon-Install.pdf

New Home, existing system, no information on what current access code is

Powering down for several hours should reset the code to 1234. To power down, find where it plugs into the wall. It'll be a big plug, about the size of your fist ( a three-inch, block style plug), black, white or beige in color, probably a little screw holding it in. It may be directly below the panel or could be in the room on the other side of the wall of the panel. Otherwise, it may be in a garage, basement or attic. It may be in a weird place, like behind a couch in the living room or on the ceiling in the garage. Good luck finding it! Next, disconnect the back up battery. This can be tricky because it's really easy to break the little tab that holds the compartment shut. With the cover open, look at the top of the panel or the sides/corners. CAREFULLY push the tab, open the cover and disconnect the battery. Leave it powered down for 24 hours and then plug in the battery first, then plug it into the wall. The code should (hopefully) be 1234 now.

Liftmaster Garage Door Opener won't clear codes

This was a first generation learn button model. Antiquated by current technology standards. It was a two channel system. One channel for a dip switch remote, the second for a 66LM key pad. No way to erase the programming, however, by programming in a dip switch remote (61LM with the dip switches set to new positions, and a 66lm set to a new entry code) will purge the two channels of their previous memory, now set to the the new settings.
