A regular TV will not display a CCTV camera, because the CCTV outputs a 1 Volt peak-to-peak RF signal. A TV uses a broadcast signal, it is different. However, if the TV has a yellow "video in" jack on the back of the set, this will display the camera, as the yellow video in will process and display the CCTV signal on the TV. Let me know if this does not work. [email protected]

How to hookup audio to home security sys

Do you have audio cameras, they don't usually give you the audio cameras with a standard setup, on the back of the dvr there is a plug for audio its either a phono plug or a mic input socket, this can be used in one room or outside depending on the mic you have to buy. you then wire this up to the cctv and have to setup the sound to the camara number.

I need to know the pin designations on a small home security camera i bought. It has no name only the model number (080800-24t) and uses the OV5116 camera chipset. I have pics of the camera. it is a small 4 pin DIN type plug the wires are red/white/yellow/black the camera has night vision LEDs and a mic...

Red is Power (12VDC), Black is Common Ground, White is Audio, Yellow is Video. The camera is from a "Homeland Security Brand" Camera and Monitor set that was being sold at Walmart about 2004/2005. That's the Black and White Model. The "Night Vision" portion barely works on these and the picture isn't very clear even during the day... They're nothing like, say, the CD-33 Ball Turret Color Cameras from SuperCircuits (Which are cheaper now than the HLS Brand B&W Cameras were back in '04). I understand that it's "What you have", just letting you know what to expect so you don't put any money into a system based on these. Hope this helps.
